Well done Kersty on winning our Feb to April 2010 twelve week weight loss challenge. You are a inspiration to all and showed what a little commitment can achieve.

Kersty won in our closest ever challenge. The top five were only seperated by .05 of a percent and the top ten by 1.2%.

Leila's  story

I did the 12 week weight loss challenge and this time I made up my mind that I was going to do it. My aim was to lose 5 Kg. What helped me make up my mind was the supplied menu plan. It is very easy to follow and the meals were very easy to prepare. There was plenty of snacks and meals and I never felt hungry.It took all the hard work out of trying to figure out what to eat and what not to eat.

The weight started to come off, about 1 Kg a week. I felt fitter, healthier and had more energy. everyday I was looking forward to going to the gym and exercising.

When I had lost the first 5 Kg I realised I could lose more. It felt good and spurred me on. In the end I lost 9 Kg and was down to a weight that I had'nt been since my early twenties. I feel now feel absolutely fantastic and I am 47 years old.

During the course of 12 weeks I also had a food diary which I wrote in every day. This contained how much I ate, how many calories and fat I was consuming. John suggested this on the  nutrition information night. Changes Health and Fitness also weighed and measured me once a week. All the staff gave me encouragement and support and all these things helped to motivate me.

I am still enjoying my workouts a lot. I do cardio 3 to 4 times a week and weights twice a week. I would recommend the weight loss challenge to anyone to kick start their weight loss.
